Dans le cadre de la conférence Textile Intersections, deux pièces de la série All flowers are of paper d'Aurélie Mosse seront présentées lors de l'exposition Material Intelligence, organisée du 17 au 20 septembre à la Dyson School of Design Engineering de l'Imperial College London, en conjonction avec le London Design Festival.
L'installation All flowers are of paper met à l'honneur les matériaux à base de cellulose issus du projet ImpressioVivo, financé par l'ANR dans le cadre du programme Jeune Chercheuse Jeune Chercheur.
Dans une logique d'artisanat bionumérique, les déchets de papier sont transformés en mousse puis imprimés en 3D. Certaines pièces sont ensuite rigidifiées grâce au principe de biocalcification, préfigurant le devenir circulaire de ce rebut du quotidien avec le soutien du monde bactérien.

As part of the Textile Intersections conference, two works from Aurélie Mosse's All flowers are of paper series will be presented in the Material Intelligence exhibition, held from 17 to 20 September at the Dyson School of Design Engineering, Imperial College London, in conjunction with the London Design Festival.
All flowers are of paper highlights cellulose-based materials developed through the ImpressioVivo project, funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) under the Young Researchers (JCJC) programme.
Following a bio-digital craft approach, paper waste is transformed into foam and then 3D printed. Some of the pieces are further strengthened through a biocalcification process, envisioning a circular future for this everyday waste material with the support of the bacterial world.
