Artist/researcher Samuel Bianchini and art/design historian Emanuele Quinz, visiting UCLA from Paris’ renowned EnsadLab, will be joined by DMA’s Peter Lunenfeld to discuss the intertwinings of audiences, objects and design in our networked era.

Samuel Bianchini is associate professor at the Ecole national superior des Arts Decoratifs (Ensad) in Paris, and head of Reflective Interaction at EnsadLab. His co-edited volume, Practicable: From Participation to Interaction in Contemporary Art just came out from the MIT Press. Emanuele Quinz is associate Professor at Paris-VII and a researcher at EnsadLab, and co-editor of Strange Design—From Objects to Behaviors (Idea Book, 2016). Together Bianchini and Quinz just published Behavioral Objects I (Sternberg Press, 2016). “Demo 2.0, an essay by DMA Vice Chair Peter Lunenfeld, is included in Practicable.
